This program prepares you to be a proficient 3D Parametric Solid Modeler & Detailer using an industry-standard 3D Mechanical Computer-Aided Design (MCAD) tool called SolidWorks. You will learn to create 3D models and produce technically accurate drawings of electro/mechanical parts, mechanisms and assemblies while learning industry-standard drafting & modeling practices. Optional electives include core training in Creo (AKA Pro/ENGINEER) and Inventor. Students successfully completing this program will receive the industry-recognized Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) Certificate.
You will be taught industry-standard skills and tools used by major discreet manufacturers and product development companies.
Core SolidWorks Courseware includes: SolidWorks Introduction, Essentials for Parts and Assemblies, Drawings, Efficient Modeling and Design Intent, Composer, Intro to eDrawings, Parts & Drawings CAD Drills, Advanced Parts, Model Based Definition (MBD), Advanced Assemblies & Assembly CAD Drills, Sheetmetal & Weldments, Sheetmetal CAD Drills, Surfacing, Advanced Surface Modeling, Surfacing CAD Drills, Mold Tools, Plastic Design, Mold Design CAD Drills, Manufacturing: SolidWorks CAM, Ve-I CSWA Practice Exams, SolidWorks: Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) Prep + Certification Exam, and Special Project Work to create a Certificate Level Portfolio.
A wide range of in-demand and unique electives are also included in this program that will increase your employment marketability over other traditionally trained candidates.
