Our Social & Human Services training program equips students and industry professionals with the knowledge needed to address the social, behavioral, and welfare needs of individuals, families, and diverse groups.
To begin the program, students explore foundational industry topics including ethical and legal considerations, crisis intervention, client assessment, case management, service coordination, advocacy, and community outreach.
Students also develop practical skills in developing care plans, collaborating with community stakeholders, and advocating for policy changes.
Moving on in the program, courses help students learn about cultural awareness, ethical standards, and effective communication strategies to ensure they're prepared to work collaboratively in all settings - from non-profits to healthcare facilities, schools, and government agencies.
By the end of our Social & Human Services program, students will have a better understanding of the psychosocial aspects of client needs and how to navigate complex systems to secure necessary resources.
