Project Management (PMP/CAPM)

Our Advanced Manufacturing Technologies program focuses on how companies manage, improve, and automate their core manufacturing and production processes.

In this program, you will start off learning skills and concepts in the emerging field of Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing). Through our partnership with the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), you will have the opportunity to test and receive an industry-recognized Additive Manufacturing Certification from the SME.

If a student does not already have a thorough understanding of these core processes, applicable electives are available and can be taken as pre-requisites (for details on this 4-part “Manufacturing Processes and Sciences” series please see our “Production Technologies” program).

Additional core courses include an introduction to Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Process Improvement, Managing Flow, Continuous Process, Identifying and Eliminating Waste, Developing a Lean Culture, Total Productive, Maintenance, 5S Overview, Cell Design and Pull Systems, Troubleshooting, Conducting Kaizen Events, SPC, Metrics for Lean, Process Flow Charting, Strategies for Setup Reduction, Total Quality Management (TQM), Management Tools, Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma Goals and Tools, Maintaining a Consistent Lean Culture, Transforming Lean into Business Results, Measuring Lean Systems, and other similar topics.

Next, you will learn about Quality Fundamentals and review topics like Quality Overview, ISO 9000, ISO 9001:2015, Approaches to Maintenance, Process Design and Development, Product Design and Development, Production System Design and Development, Equipment/Tool Design and Development, Supply Chain Management, Quality and Customer Service, Conducting an Internal Audit, TS 16949:2009, and IATF 16949:2016.

Rounding off your program, you'll choose from electives such as Robotics Fundamentals, Cybersecurity for Manufacturing Fundamentals,  CAD/CAM applications, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, Creo, MasterCAM, Production Fundamentals, Python, LabVIEW, Tableau, Data Analytics, SQL, Statistics, Data Visualization, PLC Programming, R Programming, Cybersecurity, Process Improvement, Risk Management, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, GD&T, Robotics, Fundamental to Advanced Mathematics, Microsoft Applications, and more.

Finally, finish your training with a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Professional Certification Preparation course. Upon completion, you'll be given the opportunity to test for the industry-recognized Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. The cost of your certification exam is included in the price of your program.

Our partnership with the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) also allows our qualified students to also attain the industry-recognized SME Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA), SME Certified Manufacturing Technologist (CMfgT), or SME Certified Manufacturing Expert (CMfgE) credentials. These in-demand and unique electives and credentials will increase your employment marketability over other traditionally trained candidates.

As an added benefit, if you are currently unemployed, you may qualify to have the entire program paid for, 100%, without any out-of-pocket costs to you. We are WIOA, Trade Act and Section 30 Approved. We also offer various other financing options. Our counselors are available to help put together a customized program to meet your needs.

Upon completion of the program, you may obtain industry-recognized certification including, but not limited to:

Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA)

Certified Manufacturing Technologist (CMfgT)

Certified Manufacturing Expert (CMfgE)

Total Quality Management (TQM)

SME Additive Manufacturing

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
