This program prepares you to be a proficient 3D Parametric Solid Modeler & Detailer using an industry-standard 3D Mechanical Computer-Aided Design (MCAD) tool called Inventor. You will learn to create 3D models and produce technically accurate drawings of electro/mechanical parts, mechanisms and assemblies while learning industry-standard drafting & modeling practices. Optional electives include core training in SolidWorks, Revit and other topics.
You will be taught industry-standard skills and tools used by major discreet manufacturers and product development companies.
Core Inventor courseware includes: Inventor New User Essentials, Sheet Metal Design, Weldments, Plastic Part Design, Tube and Pipe Design, Cable and Harness Design, Frame Generator, Simulation FEA, Simulation Kinematic, iLogic, and Inventor Essentials for Certification.
A wide range of in-demand and unique electives are also included in this program that will increase your employment marketability over other traditionally trained candidates. Elective CAD topics include Revit Essential to Advanced training (please see “Revit Architectural Design Applications Specialist Program for details), SolidWorks Essential to Advanced training (please see “SolidWorks Mechanical Design Applications specialist Program” for details), Creo Essentials to Advanced training (please see “Creo Mechanical Design Applications Specialist Program” for more details), Navisworks, SketchUp, and multiple Certification Prep courses.
Other Elective Topics include Mastercam Lathe, Mastercam, Engineering Drawing & Graphics, GD&T Beginner & Advanced, AutoCAD 2D & 3D, AutoCAD Electrical, Mathematica Programming, MATLAB, Keyshot, ZBrush, Blender, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Navisworks, SketchUp, Fundamentals of Math, Algebra and Geometry Essentials.
Many CAD “gurus” end up becoming CAD System Administrators so we have put together a group of electives that will give you the tools to meet that challenge, if you so wish. Topics include Windows Operating System (OS) Fundamentals, CompTIA A+ Certification Prep which covers basic to advanced computer hardware and configuration concepts, Advanced Windows Performance Troubleshooting, Windows Server Administration Fundamentals, Security Awareness Training for Employees, Microsoft Excel for Project Management, and Microsoft Visio - an awesome diagramming and documentation tool. Additional beginner to advanced Microsoft Office related topics include Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visual Basic Applications (VBA) Programming, SharePoint, Access, PowerPoint & Project. We also have various IoT & AR courses including Unity: A Beginner's Guide to Augmented Reality.
