This program prepares you to be a proficient 3D Parametric Solid Modeler & Detailer using an industry-standard 3D Mechanical Computer-Aided Design (MCAD) tool called Creo (formerly known as Pro/ENGINEER). You will learn to create 3D models and produce technically accurate drawings of electro/mechanical parts, mechanisms and assemblies while learning industry-standard drafting & modeling practices. Optional electives include core training in SolidWorks, Inventor and Revit. Students successfully completing this program will receive the industry-recognized Creo Fundamentals Certification.
You will be taught industry-standard skills and tools used by major discreet manufacturers and product development companies.
Core Creo courseware includes: Creo: Basics of Creo Capabilities and Design Process, Basics Interface and Modeling Concepts, Basics of Modeling, Fundamentals Overview, Interface, Modeling, and Workflow Updates, Fundamentals of Modeling 1 & 2, CAD Drills - Parts, Modeling Productivity Tools, Basics of 2D Drawing, Fundamentals of 2D Drawing, Drawing CAD Drills, Sketching Productivity Tools, Creating and Modifying 2D Drawing Views, Managing the 2D Drawing Environment, Adding 2D Drawing Information Using Tables, Populating 2D Drawings with Annotations, Advanced Drawings CAD Drills, GD&T CAD Drills, Creating Sheetmetal Models 1 & 2, Sheetmetal CAD Drills, Weldments CAD Drills, Basics of Surface Modeling, Exam: Creo Fundamentals Certification.
A wide range of in-demand and unique electives are also included in this program that will increase your employment marketability over other traditionally trained candidates. Elective Creo Topics include: Creating Surface Features 1 & 2, Surfacing CAD Drills, Stitching, Editing, and Solidifying Surfaces, Analyzing Surface Features, Advanced Modeling 1 & 2, Advanced Parts CAD Drills, Model Based Definition (MDB) CAD Drills, Basics of Assembly, Fundamentals of Assembly, Assemblies CAD Drills, Assembly Productivity Tools, Assembling with Kinematic Connections, Assembling with Non-Kinematic Constraints, Assembly, Detail, Analysis, Basics of Large Assembly Concepts, Large Assemblies CAD Drills, Evaluating Kinematic Connections, Managing Assembly Styles and States, Managing Large Assemblies, Using Assembly Skeletons for Top-Down Design, Creating Harnesses and Routing Cables 1 & 2, Rendering CAD Drills, Basics of Analysis, Basics of Simulation Concepts, Fundamentals of Analysis, Finite Element Analysis w/Creo Simulate, Mechanisms CAD Drills, Exam: Creo Parametric Professional Certification.
Other Elective Topics include SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit (please see respective CAD “Design Applications Specialist” programs for details), Mastercam Lathe, Mastercam, Engineering Drawing & Graphics, GD&T Beginner & Advanced, AutoCAD 2D & 3D, AutoCAD Electrical, Mathematica Programming, MATLAB, Keyshot, ZBrush, Blender, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Navisworks, SketchUp, Fundamentals of Math, Algebra and Geometry Essentials.
Many CAD “Guru’s” end up becoming CAD System Administrators so we have put together a group of electives that will give you the tools to meet that challenge, if you so wish. Topics include Windows Operating System (OS) Fundamentals, CompTIA A+ Certification Prep which covers basic to advanced computer hardware and configuration concepts, Advanced Windows Performance Troubleshooting, Windows Server Administration Fundamentals, Security Awareness Training for Employees, Microsoft Excel for Project Management, and Microsoft Visio - an awesome diagramming and documentation tool. Additional beginner to advanced Microsoft Office related topics include Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visual Basic Applications (VBA) Programming, SharePoint, Access, PowerPoint & Project. We also have various IoT & AR courses including Unity: A Beginner's Guide to Augmented Reality.
